Ahmed Jamal. It is a long and difficult trek we writers travel and while many (most) of us are willing to persevere and strive to constantly put our best work in front of the reader, some are not. Those of us who consistently ignore the suggestions of others and take shortcuts are not helping themselves or the reader.

And yes, I care about my sister and brother writers so very much. I wish for each of them to achieve their ideas of success but I and they should understand what we do is not always a walk in the park on a spring day.
