Euphemisms Often Do More Harm Than Good

Growing up in the South I’ve heard my share of euphemisms. In my neck of Texas woods it was quite common to hear old codgers and codgerettes speak of the Civil War (yes they still talk about that shit) using terms such as: The War Between the States, The Northern Aggression, and my all time personal favorite, The Late Unpleasantness.
