I respectfully disagree Margaret. It is impossible for any of us to actually know and understand another writers state of mind when they comment (criticism or not) on the efforts of another writer. One may assume, but unless one is actually in the mind of said writer one will never know. You're supporting argument back to Megan (and your piece which was well written by the way) simply falls apart because in essence, and to Megan's point, you, yourself are making disparaging remarks about the tendencies of other writers.
