Made me think Holly. In my HJames series, one character is White although he's never mentioned to be white until his Black partner calls him on it. Interestingly Sunny is never mentioned as being Black. Oh, also Sunny is married to HJames half brother (white) and HJames is married to Sunny's mother Black.

Other tertiary characters are Asian and Mexican. My wife and are about to work a Native Indian into the story lines.
